My Desert Safari Adventure in Sharjah

My desert safari in Sharjah was certainly an unexpected journey, as I had only intended to take a normal tour. Sharjah offers the perfect blend of nature and culture, making it one of the most exciting desert adventures in the UAE, and I was able to explore it all with my package. To see the desert, culture, and magic of the Arabian desert was to take a journey with me to the desert of the dunes.

Setting Out from Sharjah

The trip to the desert started with the arrival of a 4×4 at my hotel in the afternoon and it was a very comfortable ride. The city structures we left behind were giving way to the dunes, which, unlike the buildings, seemed to have no end. The trip to the desert was great taking into account it was filled with the pleasant expectation of what was to come. Adventures Beyond the Wheel

Beyond dune bashing, I had the pleasure of trying the exciting new sandboarding. Group members on the other hand were having fun with quad biking and racing over the dunes. It made me feel like I was living the desert dream every moment.

The Thrill of Dune Bashing

Tire deflation was the signal for the start of an activity that was to be full of adrenaline when our driver thrust upon us a dune-bashing ride at top speed. It was like a roller coaster up and down the great sandy hills the car was swinging, throwing, and grabbing at them, and the dusty trail followed by the sand flew up to meet the vehicle. I couldn’t be happier to express that it was such a feeling to be the wind sailing over golden waves mixed with adrenaline and excitement. This part of the desert safari in Sharjah is the definitive one if you only want to seek adrenaline.

Cultural Charm and Entertainment

Nightfall found us at a camp built in the style of the Bedouins. The camp’s environment was the best and inviting tourists with the ritual of offering Arabic coffee, and dates to everyone present taking place. Also, I enjoyed riding a camel for the first time, and, while putting on traditional Emirati clothing, it was amazing and I took photos.

A desert bathed in fiery shades was the setting of the sun, which was a really breathtaking moment but beyond my power to express in words. Post and early, we were able to see the live performances that included: a fire show, a Tanoura dance, and a stunning belly dance. Performers were keeping all the attendees involved and they left a mark on the unforgettable night.

The trip back to town was one where I kept bursting out into smiles. The desert has a strange, almost indescribable, ability to touch the heart – its peace, its gorgeousness, and its boundless allure. It wasn’t just an adventure but a memory of connection, joy, and discovery with my desert safari in Sharjah.
